About Wisdom

For to a person who is good in His sight He has given wisdom and knowledge and joy, while to the sinner He has given the task of gathering and collecting so that he may give to one who is good in God's sight. This too is vanity and striving after wind.

This identifies those who are true believers, who seek to know, love, and obey God and to live righteously. These covenant keepers alone can know wisdom and experience God’s protection.

Proverbs 2:6-8
For the Lord giveth wisdom out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly He keepeth the paths of judgment and preserveth the way of his saints.

Instruction from the Holy Spirit

Get wisdom by simply asking and believing.

James 1:5-7
If any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God that giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

Promises From The Old Testament

No matter how many promises are made, they are yes and amen in Christ. Keep in mind that Christ has fulfilled the Law for righteousness and you are in him.  His faithfulness qualifies you for any and all promises, not your ability to keep the Law or remain faithful. Now it's up to you to believe in your heart that you are in Him and He is your righteousness.  Remember that you are a joint-heir with Jesus as you read thru these Old Testament promises.

These promises are all from God.  Some are for a specific time, some for specific purpose, some for specific people and others are for everyone.  So, as you read these, invite the Holy Spirit to show you how these promises reveal His character, purpose, plan and hope for your life and all those who are in Christ.
