The gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes in Jesus Christ; the gift of righteousness comes through faith in him and not through human effort.
Romans 1:16-17
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth to the Jew first and also to the Greek For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith as it is written The just shall live by faith.

For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear but ye have received the Spirit of adoption whereby we cry Abba Father.
