A Heavenly Inheritance, In God's great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade .
1st Peter 1:3-4
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead To an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that fadeth not away reserved in heaven for you.
Temptations are us being tested by fire that we may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
1st Peter 1:6-7
Wherein ye greatly rejoice though now for a season if need be ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations That the trial of your faith being much more precious than of gold that perisheth though it be tried with fire might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.
Living Before God Our Father
1st Peter 1:13-14
Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind be sober and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ As obedient children not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance.
It was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that we were redeemed from the empty way of life we previously knew, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
1st Peter 1:18-19
For as much as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers But with the precious blood of Christ as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
The spiritual life implanted by the Holy Spirit to produce the new birth is unfailing and permanent.
1st Peter 1:23
Being born again not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible by the word of God which liveth and abideth for ever.
A Heavenly Inheritance
1st Peter 2:3-5
If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. To whom coming as unto a living stone disallowed indeed of men but chosen of God and precious Ye also as lively stones are built up a spiritual house an holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
The promise of being a living stone. We are each being joined with others in a spiritual building that is alive and actively connecting to God through Jesus.

We are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God.
1st Peter 2:9
But ye are a chosen generation a royal priesthood an holy nation a peculiar people that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light
Christ bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds we have been healed.
1st Peter 2:24
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree that we being dead to sins should live unto righteousness by whose stripes ye were healed.
Cast your care upon Him, He cares for you.
1st Peter 5:6-7
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God that he may exalt you in due time Casting all your care upon him for he careth for you.
The devil walks about like a lion seeking whom he may devour. Resist him in the faith knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by others in the world.
1st Peter 5:8-9
Be sober be vigilant because your adversary the devil as a roaring lion walketh about seeking whom he may devour Whom resist stedfast in the faith knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
